Zucchini Polenta Tart

I do love tarts. This one is a crispy mushroom polenta tart with sauteed zucchini slices and parmesan cheese.

Chocolate Tart

I soaked raspberries in port drained a bit of the liquid, added homemade strawberry jam and a few cacao nibs for crunch and then poured the chocolate on top. I wish I had taken a photo of John with chocolate up to his elbows and on his nose digging around in the bowl. He didn’t want it to go to waste.

Tomato Tart

A farmer’s market tomato tart I made this summer. I learned a lesson or two about the amount of water tomatoes leak out when they are cooked. Especially in relation to the tart crust trying to cook at the same time. I ended up having to pull it all apart and cook the crust separately. Needless to say John was starving by the time it got served.
